There are so many stories inside the campus and hostels. They start with the question "What is your name?" and end with "Keep in touch, don’t forget." Things began with joy and happiness, ended up lonely. The room and the walls, one day they were full of noise and entertainment. Now they have turned into silence. We all knew we had to leave this place and everyone would go their own way. Still, we stayed, laughed, enjoyed, and fought like it was the end of the world. All these things left in a way that will never come back. It was just like in 2020, when I completed my bachelor’s.
Let introduce some names who created a room in my memories.
Suraj sir - he is not here now. The best part about him was, whenever I went to his hostel, he ordered special food and sweets for me. I also helped him in his project. He was always available to help me in any condition.
Jeet Sharan Sir - he is a jokes cracker. His jokes were always about professors and some friends. Whenever I sat with him, he asked me about the topic attachment and how to get rid of it.
Sambit Pani Sir - he always motivated me and supported me. He is the one who selected the dress that suited me.
Ravi Ranjan Sir - I used to go to his cabin and finish all his dry fruits. Whenever I went to his cabin, he gave me fruits and sweets. I used to emotionally blackmail him that when I would go from here, he would miss me when no one came to his cabin.
Manisha Ma’am - she was supportive. The only girl with whom I was so frank and easy to talk. I used to share all my personal and project things with her.
Beyond that, there are many more names Sahil Kundal Sir, Animesh Sir, Sagar Sir etc. Golden, Harsita and Prawej, with them I played badminton.
The days and year did not pass smoothly. There are an emotional part and a devil part too. There are some friends I fought with as well. Meanwhile, I had a crush on a girl. The story did not go longer. I think it has been almost one year since I have gone home. My life is always full of challenges. Some people are so lucky, without doing anything they achieve everything. In my case, it is difficult. Nothing comes easily. That is why I do not follow religion so much.
I remember one thing while talking about religion. In my first year, I went to Azad hostel. There was a PhD scholar, a friend of Suraj Sir. He asked my name and the country I came from. He offered me a paratha from his plate. I did not take it, and he asked me, "In Nepal, is there casteism?" I replied, "No, why do you ask this?" He said again, "Because you did not take the paratha." He said that he belongs to ST/SC, I do not know much about it, just lower caste, so they are humiliated. Do you know what I replied? "We belong to the country where Gautam Buddha was born, and we follow his path. We obey one caste, and that is Nepali." He smiled, and then I ate some pieces.
