Click Edit text to open a page in-place: every detected line becomes an editable field positioned exactly where it sits on the page, like editing in Word. Pages flagged Scanned have no extractable text yet - run OCR on them first so their words become selectable and editable. Compress re-renders pages as images to shrink file size - great for scans, but body text will no longer be selectable in the compressed copy. Drag any page card to drop it in a new position - the fastest way to rearrange. Use Split PDF... to export specific page ranges as separate files, or turn on Select pages to pick exactly the pages you want to extract or delete in bulk.

Convert PDF to Office

Uses the PDF currently open in the Edit tab. A layout engine scans every page, clusters text into headings, paragraphs and tables, measures the true page margins, and reproduces all of it - so Word and Excel output keeps your original structure and spacing rather than a flat wall of text. Scanned pages are read through the same engine once OCR has been run on them. PowerPoint keeps each page as a full-fidelity slide image, since a PDF doesn't carry editable slide layout.

Word (.docx)

Detects paragraphs vs. tables and rebuilds real table cells, with margins matched to the original page and a page break between pages.

Excel (.xlsx)

Clusters column positions across the whole page so every row lines up consistently - one sheet per PDF page, ready for analysis.

PowerPoint (.pptx)

Each PDF page becomes one full-size, high-resolution slide image, matched to the page's aspect ratio - visual quality stays exact.

Headings, paragraphs, tables and page margins are detected automatically from text position, size, and column alignment (or from OCR results on scanned pages). Detection is heuristic, not a pixel-perfect layout clone - very dense or unusually laid-out pages may still need light manual cleanup after export. Fonts are re-set to a clean Word/Excel-native typeface rather than embedding the original font file, since PDFs don't always license font embedding for re-export.
