Finally, I reached home.

I got my ticket on June 28, 2026, for June 29. The train arrived three hours late. I thought I would reach very late. It reached Jaynagar at around 1 AM.
It was my first time traveling by train with so many bags. Four bags total, a small zebra bag, one medium trolley, one small trolley, a carrying bag, and a laptop bag. I traveled alone. It was second AC. Felt better and safe.
But at 1 AM, with all that stuff, I carried everything out of the railway station for a taxi. I thought of calling someone to pick me up. But it was late night, and it would take time. The border rule was, it opens only at 6 AM.
I booked an auto from Jaynagar to Laukaha, the border. Around 2:45 in the early morning, I reached Laukaha. Full silence. No one was there. Only SSB (Indian army) and Nepali police, standing opposite each other.
I was alone. The Indian SSB helped me with directions. He said to bring all bags there, keep them nearby, and go through the other side. I talked to both, the Indian SSB and the Nepali police, for about an hour.
At the same time, an ambulance came. It carried a dead body from Darbhanga. A woman sat inside, next to the dead body, crying.
I just imagined, one day we too will leave this world. It was similar to our days at IIT Roorkee. We came alone. We made friends. We enjoyed. We expressed. We lived. And one day, we left. Just a prototype of life. The people who always stayed near, who drank tea with us, who ate food with us, it will all end like a dream. Never to bring back.
Then I called my dad to pick me up. He came after two hours. Through another road, I entered my own country. Without any checking.
One good thing, the weather was nice yesterday. Not very hot.
Around 5 AM, I reached home.
We are a complete family now. Mom, Dad, Sister, small brother, and me. I will spend some time with them.
I will continue my job then. But again in a job, it doesn't sound good, right?
My plan is something else. Do something very crazy. Let's see the possibility of it.
Sometimes I miss IIT Roorkee. Those friends. That life. But what to do, it was limited.
It was after one year, i came here. 😄
